Dear North County Business Owners,

I am writing on behalf of the Malone Figure Skating Club. We are a not-for-profit club that caters to Malone, Brushton, Chateaugay, and surrounding areas. We teach children ages three and up how to skate and our professional coaches provide instruction on more advanced and competitive skills on par with bigger clubs like in Lake Placid, Massena, and Potsdam. We are charged $150/hour for ice time and require at least six hours of ice per week for our 22-week season to get all the necessary lessons covered. This is our biggest expense. Paying for our professional coaches, annual competition, and ice shows are a less significant part of our expenses. Our hard-working board members are run by volunteers.

We are the most affordable figure skating club in the north country, but some skating families still struggle with registration fees and completing the fundraising we require to keep the club afloat. We do these fund raisers throughout our October to March season and if we did not do them, our registration fees would be significantly higher and unaffordable to many families in the area. For this reason, we wanted to try something different and try to get our community more involved in our skater’s journeys. This is why we are hoping that you may be interested in sponsoring our club this coming season! We are hoping that with sponsors we can keep our registration fees low and decrease the number of fundraisers that families are required to make throughout the season.

We have several levels of sponsorship available and some great incentives for sponsoring! All sponsorships include advertising on our club website (new this year!), our club Facebook page, in our club display case at the rink, and a guaranteed spot in our end of season ice show program!

  • Bronze Level - $250 Sponsorship, will also get a ¼ page black and white ad in the show program
  • Silver Level - $500 Sponsorship, will also get a ½ page black and white ad in the show program
  • Gold Sponsorship - $1000, will also get a full page black and white ad in the show program
  • Platinum Sponsorship - $2000, will also get a full-page COLOR ad in the show program

With your help, we could look at possibly getting more ice time for our skaters so that they can continue to improve on their skills, purchase skates for our members that cannot afford them as they are often quite costly, and/or sponsor a skater or two that would like to join the club but are unable to due to their socioeconomic circumstances.

As a Board, we did not enter this decision to look for sponsors lightly. With rising costs throughout the US, no person or business has been immune to the struggle. We want to continue offering USFSA Learn to Skate lessons with registered coaches to our area and with the support of our community, we can continue to do just that at an affordable price.
